The Arduino Sensor Kit is designed for beginners who want to start using Arduino and explore the world of electronics and programming. This kit teaches how to connect and program basic Grove modules, which include both sensors and actuators.
Grove is an open-source, modular, and ready-to-use toolkit that follows a building block approach to assembling electronics. The kit includes a Base Shield, to which various Grove modules can be connected individually or in different combinations to create fun and exciting projects. All modules use a Grove connector, allowing them to be attached to the Base Shield in just a few seconds. The Base Shield can then be mounted on an Arduino UNO board and programmed using the Arduino IDE. The kit also includes instructions for connecting and programming the different modules.
This kit was developed in collaboration with Seeed Studio and provides the Arduino community with the opportunity to build projects with minimal wiring and coding effort. It acts as a bridge to the Grove ecosystem and offers a flexible way to expand projects with more advanced Grove modules.
The kit includes access to an online platform with all the necessary instructions for connecting, programming, and using the Grove modules.
Note! The kit does not include an Arduino UNO board.
The kit includes:
HARDWARE
1x Base Shield, designed to be mounted on an Arduino UNO board. It features 16 Grove connectors, allowing various modules to be connected and providing access to different input and output pins of the UNO board.
Base Shield features:
7x digital input/output connections
4x analog input connections
4x I2C connections
1x UART connection
The kit includes 10 Grove modules, which can be connected to the Base Shield via digital, analog, or I2C connectors. Let’s take a closer look at them:
LED – A simple LED that can be turned ON or OFF or dimmed.
Button – A push button switch with two states: HIGH (on) or LOW (off).
Potentiometer – A variable resistor that increases or decreases resistance when its knob is turned.
Buzzer – A piezo speaker that produces binary sounds.
Light Sensor – A photoresistor that measures light intensity.
Sound Sensor – A small microphone that detects sound vibrations.
Air Pressure Sensor – Measures air pressure using the I2C protocol.
Temperature Sensor – Measures temperature and humidity simultaneously.
Accelerometer – A sensor used to detect movement and orientation.
OLED Screen – A display that can show values or messages.
Additionally, the kit includes 6 Grove cables, allowing the modules to be easily connected to the Base Shield without any soldering required.
